DUBAI, Nov. 23 (Xinhua) -- Dubai, one of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), approved its budget cycle for the 2026-2028 fiscal years on Sunday, setting total expenditure at 302.7 billion AED (about 82.4 billion U.S. dollars) and projected revenues at 329.2 billion AED.
The three-year plan is reportedly the largest in the emirate's history, according to Dubai Media Office.
The budget allocates 48 percent to infrastructure and construction; 28 percent to social development, including health, education, housing and family welfare; 18 percent to security, justice, and public safety; and 6 percent to government development.
On the federal level, in October, the UAE Cabinet approved the federal general budget for the fiscal year 2026, with total expenditures at 92.4 billion AED, a 29-percent increase from 71.5 billion AED in 2025. Enditem
