The Pools of Immortals (Shenxian Chi, also known as Goddess Lake
or Fairy Pools), where a fairy bathes, is a tranquil and pure
universe, permeated with charming folklore, deep feelings, mystery
and sanctity. It is as a glittering and crystal clear pearl mounted
on the Jiuzhaigou (Nine Dragon Valley) tour ring.
The scenic spot of Goddess Lake is located in Dalu Village,
Jiuzhaigou County. With an altitude of over 2000m above sea level,
it is 60 km from Jiuzhai Paradise.
It is a mini version of Huanglong. Not as popular as Jiuzhaigou
or Huanglong and therefore less crowded.
Steep cliffs surround the area, forest trees cluster together,
ravines quietly wind around, and mist swirls up. Five colours
appear in perfect pools; all of this perfectly and elegantly
designed, as if it were a naturally sculpted work of art. Terraced
fields sprinkle down before your eyes. In the sunshine you see a
myriad of colours, a myriad of silver and gold, a waterfall over
the side of cliff, colourful lotus flowers. Two dragon pools, Green
Dragon Sea and Spirit Frog Sea scenic spots are covered with
perfectly protected mountain forests, and the Giant Panda
represents the valuable and rare animals that live here.
