Liugou village was once called Phoenix City in ancient times. During the Ming dynasty, as an important gate to Juyongguan, one of the three Great Mountain Passes to the Great Wall, Liugou village was responsible for the defense of the Ming Tombs. Liugou's tofu banquet is very famous, attracting flocks of visitors to come and have a bite.
