The 2012 edition of China's 25 Most Influential Businesswomen was released by Fortune's Chinese website last month. According to this year's list, the following 25 female elites, who all combined have managed to make around 135 billion yuan (US$21.67 billion) in total revenues, hold up half of the Chinese business world.

In this year's rankings, Gree President Dong Mingzhu surpassed last year's winner Sun Yafang, chairwoman of Huawei, who ranked second this time. Chinese real estate tycoon Wu Yajun climbed five spots to the third position in 2012.

There are 11 new faces on the 2012 list, among which three were included in the top ten slots: Weiqiao Textile president Zhang Hongxia (4th), Lenovo's Senior Vice President Qiao Jian (8th), and Atlantis Investment President Liu Yang (10th).
