Tourists from Tianjin and other places favored to go to the Tianjin Tropical Botanical Garden as the fruits growing in the garden were ripe now.
The number of tourists to the botanical garden recently increased 30 per cent than that at normal time.
Fruits growing in the garden include not only normal types such as banana and lemon, but also some that are not native growing in the northern region, such as wax jambo, guava and Shatian pomelo. The fruits which hung on the trees in brightly red looked quite delicious.
Tourists said they enjoyed seeing these fruits in bumper harvest and it would also be a rare opportunity for them to taste these fresh fruits normally growing in southern China.
In addition to fruits, numerous wild mushrooms grow well here in a simulated tropical rainforest environment with high humidity.
The mushrooms improve the ecological environment in the garden and become an additional ornamental in the garden.
