Dunhuang Fairy Mo Jiayao
Mo Jiayao, a Dunhuang fairy, was the first virtual spokesperson officially launched by the Dunhuang Academy. Her character is inspired by the melodious "kalavinka", a songbird depicted in the murals of the Mogao Caves. Represented as a youthful figure, Mo Jiayao's clothing and accessories incorporate numerous classic mural elements and donor attire from the Mogao Caves to highlight the beauty of Dunhuang art. The design emphasizes a blend of classical elegance and the lively spirit of a charming young girl.
As the "image ambassador" of the Dunhuang Academy, Mo Jiayao has participated in various creative communication projects. In the future, she will serve as the first digital ambassador for Dunhuang culture and the inaugural digital guide for the "Cloud Tour Dunhuang" mini-program. She will continue to engage with the public through virtual live exhibitions, Silk Road cultural outreach, and innovative cross-border IP collaborations and endeavor to enrich cultural content interactions and guide more people to appreciate the charm of Dunhuang culture.
