Dunhuang Forum
The Dunhuang Forum was originally a large international academic seminar organized by the Dunhuang Academy.
In July 2010, the first Dunhuang Forum, titled "2010 Dunhuang Forum: International Symposium on Dunhuang Cave Art During the Tubo Period", was held at the Mogao Caves. Nearly 50 scholars from more than 30 universities and research institutions in Japan, France, Switzerland, Singapore, Chinese mainland, and China's Taiwan region attended and showcased fruitful results of research on Dunhuang Tubo cave art.
In 2016, the first DCE included the Dunhuang Forum as one of its permanent activities. The forum focuses on establishing a high point for Dunhuang culture, a new model for the integration of culture and tourism, and a new pedestal for international exchanges. It explores the essence of Silk Road culture extensively and aims to elevate Dunhuang studies by providing a platform for academic exchanges, dialogues, and cooperation in this field.
At the sixth DCE in 2023, 12 Dunhuang Forums were organized, themed around inheriting and promoting the Silk Road Spirit and jointly building the BRI. These forums featured in-depth discussions on the important role, main characteristics, and methods of realizing civilizational exchanges and mutual learning from various cultural backgrounds, fields, and perspectives, contributing valuable insights for implementing global civilization initiatives, promoting high-quality development of the BRI, and creating a new form of human civilization.
敦煌論壇
“敦煌論壇”原為敦煌研究院主辦的大型國(guó)際學(xué)術(shù)研討會(huì)品牌。2010年7月，第一次敦煌論壇“2010敦煌論壇：吐蕃時(shí)期敦煌石窟藝術(shù)國(guó)際研討會(huì)”在莫高窟召開，來(lái)自日本、法國(guó)、瑞士、新加坡、中國(guó)大陸及臺(tái)灣地區(qū)等30多家高校和科研機(jī)構(gòu)近50位學(xué)者出席了會(huì)議，集中展示了老中青三代學(xué)者在敦煌吐蕃石窟藝術(shù)研究方面的豐碩成果。
2016年，首屆敦煌文博會(huì)將“敦煌論壇”這一學(xué)術(shù)會(huì)議品牌納入其常設(shè)活動(dòng)，論壇以打造敦煌文化制高點(diǎn)、文旅融合新樣板、國(guó)際交流新高地為重點(diǎn)，深入挖掘絲路文化精髓，著力打造敦煌學(xué)研究高地，為該領(lǐng)域國(guó)際的對(duì)話與合作搭建良好學(xué)術(shù)交流平臺(tái)。
2023年第六屆敦煌文博會(huì)，圍繞傳承弘揚(yáng)絲路精神、共建“一帶一路”等分別舉辦12場(chǎng)“敦煌論壇”，從不同文化背景、不同領(lǐng)域、不同角度深入闡述文明交流互鑒的重要作用、主要特征及實(shí)現(xiàn)途徑，為落實(shí)全球文明倡議、推動(dòng)共建“一帶一路”高質(zhì)量發(fā)展、創(chuàng)造人類文明新形態(tài)貢獻(xiàn)了真知灼見(jiàn)。
