Beautiful Taizhou

Taizhou is located in the middle coastal area of Zhejiang Province and named after the city's Tiantai Mountains. It is one of 27 major cities in the Yangtze River Delta and an important location on the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road. Taizhou has a total land area of 10,050 square kilometers, a sea area of 80,000 square kilometers and a permanent population of 6.62 million. It has three districts (Jiaojiang, Huangyan and Luqiao), three county-level cities (Linhai, Wenling and Yuhuan), three counties (Tiantai, Xianju and Sanmen), and Taizhou Bay New Area.

Taizhou is renowned for being "a famous mountain on the sea." It's an ecologically blessed place with exceptional natural landscape, including mountains, sea and rivers. Surrounded by mountains, Taizhou has the Tiantai Mountains and the Shenxian Habitat as national 5A tourist attractions. Renowned as the "Gate to the East China Sea," it has Taizhou Bay, Sanmen Bay and Yueqing Bay and boasts a coastline of 651 kilometers, which accounts for 28 percent of the provincial coastline. A total of 691 islands lie in its waters, accounting for 21 percent of Zhejiang's total islands. All of these have offered unparalleled conditions for the development of Taizhou's bay area economy. The urban river network covers an area of over 46 square kilometers, giving people an impression of a riverside town.

Taizhou is a sacred place of Hehe Culture. With a long and rich history, Taizhou has distinctive cultural features: Traditional culture has been passed down for thousands of years, Hehe philosophy has embellished the past and present, mountains and seas have shaped the character of the Taizhou people, and the Dachen Island Reclamation has forged a spirit of hard struggle, progress and selfless dedication. The city is also famous for being the birthplace of the Tiantai Buddhism and the South Sect of Daoism. It has also witnessed the integration and common prosperity of Confucianism, Buddhism and Daoism. Han Shan and Shi De, known as the Two Immortals of Hehe, once lived in seclusion in the Guoqing Temple in the Tiantai Mountains, which became an important place closely related to Hehe Culture. The Dachen Island Reclamation Spirit is the city spirit of Taizhou. In Zhejiang, where the Red Boat Spirit of the Chinese Communists originated, the Dachen Island Reclamation Spirit is also of great and immortal significance.

Taizhou is also a well-known manufacturing city. The city benefits from a developed private sector and a solid manufacturing base. By July 2022, it had made the following achievements: 

● Having a total of 65 listed companies at home and abroad, and ranking fourth among China's prefecture-level cities in terms of the total number of domestic listed companies; 

● Having 21 ten-billion-level industrial clusters and 68 national-level industrial bases, and being committed to building an array of internationally influential and domestically competitive modern industrial clusters across such fields as automobile manufacturing, medical health, intelligent sewing equipment, high-end molds, pumps and electric machines, aerospace, and smart home technology; 

● Having 73,000 manufacturing enterprises, 4,692 enterprises above designated size, and 307 "hidden champion" products in the domestic and overseas markets. 

Taizhou's importance as an advanced manufacturing base within the Yangtze River Delta region is thus clear to see.

Blessed with majestic mountains, magnificent sea and limpid rivers, Taizhou is a place where people live in harmony. Since 2007, it has been granted as one of China's happiest cities for six times and was also awarded as a national model city in 2017.

美麗臺州

臺州地處浙江省“南北中心點、海陸交界處”，因境內(nèi)天臺山而得名，是長三角區(qū)域27個中心區(qū)城市之一，是21世紀海上絲綢之路的重要節(jié)點城市。臺州陸域面積10050平方千米，海域面積8萬平方千米，常住人口662萬，下轄椒江、黃巖、路橋三個區(qū)，臨海、溫嶺、玉環(huán)三個縣級市，天臺、仙居、三門三個縣以及臺州灣新區(qū)。

臺州是“山海水城”。從自然風(fēng)貌看，臺州兼得山海之利，是山、海、水的生態(tài)福地。臺州群山懷抱，擁有天臺山、神仙居等國家5A級景區(qū)；依海而興，享有“東海之門”的美譽，擁有臺州灣、三門灣、樂清灣3個海灣，大陸海岸線長達651千米，占全省28%，擁有海島691個，占全省21%，發(fā)展灣區(qū)經(jīng)濟資源條件得天獨厚；城在水中，素有“江南水鄉(xiāng)”韻味，市區(qū)河網(wǎng)水域面積超過46平方千米。

臺州是“和合圣地”。從文化內(nèi)涵看，臺州歷史悠久、底蘊深厚，擁有“文化傳萬年、和合潤古今、山海鑄風(fēng)骨、墾荒立精神、情義溢全城”的鮮明文化標識。佛教天臺宗、道教南宗享有盛譽，儒釋道三教合一、共生共榮；“和合二仙”寒山、拾得隱居天臺山，國清寺更是和合文化的重要淵源地；大陳島墾荒精神是臺州的城市精神，在浙江有著“紅船精神永存、墾荒精神不老”的政治意義。

臺州是“制造之都”。從產(chǎn)業(yè)特征看，臺州民營經(jīng)濟發(fā)達，制造業(yè)基礎(chǔ)扎實。截至2022年7月，全市有65家境內(nèi)外上市公司，境內(nèi)上市企業(yè)數(shù)居全國地級市第4位；已形成百億級產(chǎn)業(yè)集群21個，國家級產(chǎn)業(yè)基地68個；重點培育汽車、醫(yī)藥健康、智能縫制設(shè)備、高端模具、泵與電機、航空航天、智能家居等一批國際有影響力、國內(nèi)有競合張力的現(xiàn)代產(chǎn)業(yè)集群，打造“456+X”現(xiàn)代產(chǎn)業(yè)集群體系；有制造業(yè)企業(yè)7.3萬家、規(guī)上企業(yè)4692家，國內(nèi)外市場占有率第一的“隱形冠軍”產(chǎn)品達307個，是長三角重要的先進制造業(yè)基地。

臺州以“山的硬氣、海的大氣、水的靈氣”詮釋著“人的和氣”。自2007年起，臺州市六度榮膺“中國最具幸福感城市”，并于2017年獲得“全國文明城市”稱號。
