The Path of Law-based Governance Under Chinese Socialism

The path of law-based governance under Chinese socialism is one led by the CPC. It is tightly focused on, maintains, and refines the institutions of Chinese socialism, thoroughly implements the theories of such governance, and establishes a legal system for Chinese socialism. It upholds the centrality of the people and the concept that everyone is equal before the law; it requires the integration of rule of law and rule by virtue; it demands that a law-based socialist country be developed based on China's actual conditions – one where legislation is scientific, law enforcement is strict, the judiciary is impartial, and the people are law-abiding. 

Continuing to take the path of law-based governance under Chinese socialism is necessitated by China's socialist system, and it is based on a fundamental conclusion reached by the CPC after in-depth review of both the positive and negative experiences of establishing socialist law-based governance.

中國特色社會主義法治道路，就是在中國共產黨領導下，緊緊圍繞堅持和完善中國特色社會主義制度，深入貫徹中國特色社會主義法治理論，建設中國特色社會主義法治體系，堅持人民主體地位，堅持法律面前人人平等，堅持依法治國和以德治國相結合，堅持從中國實際出發，建設科學立法、嚴格執法、公正司法、全民守法的社會主義法治國家。堅持走中國特色社會主義法治道路，是中國的社會主義制度所決定的，是中國共產黨深刻總結社會主義法治建設正反兩方面經驗得出的根本結論。
