A group of dinosaur fossils were found in Qianfo Village, Guangyuan City. The fossils in this site are the most common in history of Guangyuan.
Guangyuan Pottery Plant has taken earth here since this October. The workers notified the Guangyuan Cultural Relics Bureau as soon as they found large amount of dinosaur fossils 4 meters down in the ground.
The people in the Bureau found nearly 100 pieces of backbones, costae and scapulas of dinosaur.
It is introduced that the dinosaur fossils were found in 1980s in Wangcang County and the fossils are kept in Chongqing Natural Museum. And in 1990s they found other fossils in the center of Guangyuan City.
According to the authorities the dinosaurs appeared frequently in Guangyuan in remote antiquity.
