Datang Telecom Technology Co., Ltd, a major developer of the Chinese TD-SCDMA 3G standard, Thursday said its net profit rose 25.91 percent to 57.47 million yuan (8.41 million U.S. dollars) in 2009 from the previous year.

Business revenue expanded 18.66 percent to 3.21 billion yuan in 2009 from the previous year, said the company in an annual business report filed to the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

Earnings per share was 0.13 yuan, up 25.87 percent year on year.

Shares of Datang Telecom dipped 0.86 percent to 18.39 yuan Thursday before the release of its annual earnings.
