The China International Exhibition Center Group (CIEC Group) held a ceremony to mark its 40th anniversary in Beijing on Nov. 20, under the theme "Celebrating Four Decades of Excellence, Charting a New Chapter for the Future."
The gathering brought together over 400 distinguished Chinese and international guests from industrial, commercial and exhibition sectors to explore new pathways for the high-quality development of the exhibition industry.

Ren Hongbin, chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), underscored the pivotal role of CIEC Group. He emphasized that as a primary vehicle for CCPIT in conducting its exhibition initiatives, over the past four decades, CIEC Group has organized numerous major exhibitions, expanded its overseas services for exhibition organization and participation, and played a significant role in supporting major events in Beijing.
Looking ahead, he stressed that the group should focus on serving national strategies, optimizing the development ecosystem, expanding international cooperation and driving the high-quality growth of China's exhibition industry.

Michael Hart, president of the American Chamber of Commerce in China (AmCham China), expressed the chamber's commitment to continuing its collaboration with CIEC Group. He highlighted potential areas for partnership in sectors such as advanced manufacturing, high-end medical equipment, consumer goods and digital technology.
Hart stated that AmCham China was ready to work with CIEC Group to foster a more open, transparent and predictable business environment, grounded in professional, digital and international standards. He emphasized that such cooperation would inject new resilience into both economies and the global supply chain.
During the event, Lin Shunjie, chairman of CIEC Group, unveiled the "Initiative for Sustainable Development of the Exhibition Industry in the New Era." The initiative advocates for deepened multilateral cooperation, improved exhibition service standards, promotion of business model innovation, and actively pursuing the country's "dual carbon" goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.
The celebration also featured panel discussions where industry experts and corporate representatives explored key topics. Panels on "How the Exhibition Industry Promotes Global Industrial Chain Cooperation" and "Emerging Trends of Collaborative Development in China's Exhibition Industry" facilitated in-depth exchanges on the exhibition sector's new opportunities and missions in smoothing global supply chains, advancing digital transformation and fostering green development.
